Why did I want to become a musician?

I loved the idea of playing music with other people. I loved the way that you can say things without using any words and any person on the planet could understand it. It’s an international way to communicate and I do believe that it’s the true language of the human spirit. No matter how you feel you can always listen or play a song and instantly you feel better.
Like Victor Wooten said, “To me, everything is very spiritual. And a lot of times something that you can’t tenderly touch but you know it’s there. And music to me is the perfect example of that”.
It’s not only the sounds, but it’s also all the emotions that it creates in you. Another thing that I love about music is that there is no competition when it comes to playing with others. You can have your definition of something you said and so does the person that you play with and you could both be right. You can exchange ideas every time you play and you always gain something.

Being a good bass player…

“You’re kind like a great waiter and to be a great waiter your job is to be invisible and just to make sure that everything is fabulous”
